An Amazon distribution center in Fort Wayne was shuttered for the remainder of the day on Monday(8 May 2023) after one of its employees was k!lled in an acc!dent, Based on information found at Financeyahoo.com.
Cpl. Adam Griffith, a spokesperson for the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, stated that at around noon on Monday, emergency medical services were dispatched to an Amazon Fulfillment Center. A hospital pronounced the worker deceased upon arrival.

The cause of de@th is being investigated, the sheriff’s office stated. No other information regarding the deceased was immediately made public. No one knows who the worker is yet.
According to Amazon spokesperson Andre Woodson, the company’s “thoughts and prayers are with our employee’s loved ones and our team at the facility.”
“We’re conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and working closely with authorities as they conduct their own investigations as well,” the statement said.

Warehouse workers were reportedly paid and sent home for the day after the facility shut down. It was reported that a night shift had been cut and that those workers would still be compensated.
