Fans of “And Just Like That” should hold on to their seats because the Season 2 video just came out, and it has a big surprise: Aidan Shaw is returning! Yes, the famous character who won people’s hearts in the first “S*x and the City” series is returning in the second season of the hit HBO Max show, which everyone looks forward to.
Fans are excited about Aidan’s sudden return and trying to figure out what it means for the show’s plot. Let’s look at what we know about the scene in the “And Just Like That” Season 2 trailer that made us gasp.
‘And Just Like That’ Season 2 Trailer Teases Aidan’s Return
Season one of “S*x and the City” spinoff “And Just Like That” on HBO Max failed to satisfy fans of “Big,” so the second season will focus on Carrie’s other unrequited love interest.
Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) continue to deal with the ups and downs of living the high life in New York City in the official teaser for the season, which premiered on Wednesday (26 Apr).
Che (Sarah Ramirez), one of Miranda’s suitors, is seen k!ssing passionately in a doorway as Miranda states the couple has taken “a big step up” in their relationship.
Meanwhile, Lily, Charlotte, and Harry’s (Evan Handler) adolescent daughter tells them that she’s “ready to lose (her) v!rginity” (hey, curveball), and the York-Goldenblatt family becomes completely silent.
When asked about her makeout session with a member of her podcast studio’s staff in the elevator at the end of Season 1, Carrie admits in the teaser that she has “been having exit-out-of-grief s*x,” a reference to the shocking death of her husband, Chris Noth, in the first episode of the series.
However, Carrie’s new romance won’t last long, as Aidan Shaw, the man she broke up with twice during the original “S*x and the City”‘s run, makes a triumphant return at the very end, as seen in the trailer.
There were no obvious signals that Samantha’s (Kim Cattrall) outspoken, s*x-affirming persona would be making a return. Even though Carrie and Samantha had a few text exchanges in Season 1, the future of the “How I Met Your Father” franchise is uncertain after Cattrall announced in 2021 that she had “moved on” from the role of Samantha.
“And Just Like That” will return on HBO Max in June. (Just like CNN, Warner Bros. Discovery owns HBO Max.)
