How Did Astro Moonbin D!e?
On Thursday (20 April), 2023, Moonbin’s record company, Fantagio, reported that the 25-year-old member of the boy band Astro had p@ssed away.
Police were called to Moonbin’s residence in Seoul’s posh Gangnam neighborhood on Wednesday night, where he was reportedly discovered lifeless.
Early Thursday morning, a message was issued in Korean on Fantagio’s official Twitter page, saying, “On April 19, Astro member Moon Bin unexpectedly left our world and became a star in the sky.”

There was no mention of what caused de@th in the report. The message requested that people “refrain from speculative and malicious reports” so that his loved ones may privately grieve.
Moon Bin, better known as Moonbin, was a member of the band Astro and led a group named Moonbin & Sanha.
Before debuting with Astro in February 2016, he was a child actor and model in the Fantagio label’s training program. There were six members of the performing ensemble at one point, but in February of 2023, one of them quit.
Moon Sua, Moonbin’s sister, is also a singer in the K-pop scene; she’s a member of the girl group Billlie. Thousands of heartbroken and shocked fans responded to the label’s news.
“So sorry for losing one of the most beautiful souls I’ve met through music! Prayers to his family, friends, employers, and fans!” one user responded on Twitter to Fantagio’s post.
“I can’t focus on work now. This hurts,” wrote another. In addition to Goo Hara, several more young K-pop artists have p@ssed away in recent years. Her ex-boyfriend mistreated her and then blackmailed her with their sex tapes after they broke up.
A month prior, her close friend and fellow K-pop singer Sulli had committed su!cide following a lengthy struggle with online bullying, spurring calls in South Korea for tougher sanctions for cybercrimes and abusive online remarks.
Minwoo, a 33-year-old member of the boy band 100%, d!ed at his home of cardiac arrest in 2018. It is believed that SHINee’s main singer, Jonghyun, committed himself little over three months ago. He was 27.
