Jennifer Nettles Is Hosting Farmer Wants A Wife, A Reality Dating Show
Jennifer Nettles, who has won three Grammys, didn’t know about Farmer Wants a Wife at first. But when she was asked to play a key role in the U.S. version, she was quickly hooked on this unscripted reality dating show. You can check the tweet below in which Jennifer Nettles is performing with Kristian Bush.

So much so that the famous actor is hosting the first U.S. version of the worldwide hit, which aired on FOX on March 8. The farmers teach us that the path to romance is difficult, messy, and a heck of a ride.
Farmer Wants a Wife, which has aired in 32 countries and resulted in 180 marriages and 410 children, is widely regarded as the most successful dating show in the world, and it seemed like a natural fit for the American Midwest, especially in light of a major dating and mating trend: people moving away from urban areas and heading towards more suburban and rural areas in the hopes of finding love there.
The FOX press release states that Farmer Wants a Wife brings big heart to the heartland in an all-new unscripted dating show, hosted by Nettles. Like its international counterparts, the American version follows four hard-working farmers—Ryan Black, Allen Foster, Hunter Grayson, and Landon Heaton—in their pursuit for real, enduring love.
How the show works is that each farmer hosts a group of women who leave their lives in the city to see if they are happy and comfortable with the hard work of country life. They soon realize that this journey has the potential to change their lives forever. You can also see the official tweet by Fubo TV below.
How far would you go for love? Jennifer Nettles hosts the new reality series FARMER WANTS A WIFE that follows four farmers as they search for real love. Watch the series premiere tomorrow at 9/8c on @FOXTV with Fubo pic.twitter.com/JlZq4vixt6

According to FOX, the men and women choose each other before letting the women spend time on their farms. Then, the farmers show each group what it’s actually like on an actual working farm, from managing the field and feeding the cattle and bailing the hay to the behind-the-scenes business activities.
According to FOX, the question, How far are you ready to go to find love? hangs large in the minds of the women. They work together to find what many hopeless romantics want: a happily ever after.
Jennifer Nettles tells Parade, “I joke that I call myself the Fairy Godmother of the series because I get a chance to do a lot of mentoring; especially with the farmers. This show is about real people who want a shot at love, and what I appreciate about it the most is that authenticity.”
