Both Raquel Leviss And Scheana Shay Probably Won’t Be At The Upcoming Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Reunion
On March 2, Shay, 37, allegedly confronted Leviss, 28, after learning that Leviss had been having an affair with their co-star on VPR, Tom Sandoval.
Considering that Sandoval, 40, had been seeing co-star Ariana Madix for the past nine years, the news came as a huge shock. After Leviss accused Shay of punching her in the face after she found out about his infidelity, he and she broke up, and she later obtained a restraining order against him.
The cast, however, is currently taping for season 10 of the iconic Bravo series, which will feature a reunion that fans are eagerly awaiting. As a result, Shay’s attorney has said that filming the reunion may be difficult, if not impossible, unless Leviss (whose given name is Rachel) drops her restraining order.
As it stands, attorney Neama Rahmani explains, “The temporary restraining order, as it stands now, currently prohibits Scheana from being within 100 yards of Rachel so they can’t both be physically present at the reunion. Rachel not only betrayed her friends, but she has sabotaged this reunion because it just can’t happen in any meaningful way while this order is in place.”
“There really is no process to change this type of temporary civil restraining order before the hearing so the reunion, at least having them all together in person, is clearly in jeopardy,” Rahmani adds.
According to Rahmani, even if one of the costars calls in virtually, they are still not allowed to communicate with one another. It’s possible for one of them to make a virtual appearance via Zoom, but the lawyer insists that Scheana has no way of communicating with Rachel herself or through an intermediary. Yet, Rahmani claims that if the reunion date is moved or the restraining order is lifted, Shay and Leviss will be able to film together in person. A hearing for the restraining order, which could make the injunction permanent, is scheduled for March 29, the same day that the reunion is set to be taped.
If you compare the two dates, you’ll notice that the later one is when Scheana plans on presenting her witnesses and evidence to discredit Rachel’s claims. She’s looking forward to testifying because the court has only heard one side of the story up to this point, says Rahmani.
Rahmani thinks that until then, Leviss and Shay will have to film the reunion separately or virtually. Moreover, she says, she’s created a mess both for her friends and for the show.
Rahmani’s comments on the VPR reunion were earlier reported by Us Weekly. This week, PEOPLE obtained court documents and evidences proving alleged attack by ‘VPR’ costar Scheana Shay and that the Los Angeles Superior Court had granted Leviss’ request for a temporary restraining order against Shay.
On March 2 at 1:30 a.m., Leviss claims she was injured during an argument with Shay, which she filed a police report for.
The Bravo star said that Shay pushed her against a brick wall, hurting the back of her head, and then punched her in the face, hurting her left eye. She said that after the attack, she had a black eye, a cut/scar on her left eyebrow, blurred vision, and swelling in her left eye.
Shortly after the temporary injunction was issued, Shay rejected the charges in a statement released by Rahmani.
Rahmani claimed, “This entire case is a fabrication by a known liar and a cheat who has betrayed everyone close to her. Scheana never punched Rachel, period. The supposed dark markings around her left eye have been there for months.”
“Neither Scheana nor other cast members want anything to do with Rachel going forward,” the statement continued. “The judge has only heard a one-sided account of what happened, and we look forward to presenting the full and true story at the March 29 hearing.”
