Freaknik Documentary Release Date Revealed

According to data compiled by decider.com, Hulu’s Freaknik documentary has yet to receive an official press release or trailer, and there is no word on when it will be available.

It is reasonable to assume that the Freaknik documentary will premiere in 2024, most likely around the middle of April on the 40th anniversary of the legendary Freaknik party in 1994.

Shelia Turner, a photographer, captured several memorable moments during the Freaknik ’94 year. Hulu’s synopsis hinted that the documentary might premiere in 2024, marking Freaknik’s 40th anniversary.

MRC’s  “Queenmaker: The Making of an It Girl”  recounts the history of the  “Park Avenue Peerage” blog. “In the height of heiress-era NYC, an anonymous blogger infiltrated Manhattan’s elite, bringing socialite celebrity to new heights,” according to the doc’s logline. “When the website’s creator was unmasked, the mastermind was not who anybody expected.”

Scott Kaplan serves as executive producer, and Emmet McDermott, his CoverStory business partner, serves as producer. Zackary Drucker directed the documentary.

“The Jewel Thief” will give “the unbelievable first-hand account of Gerald Blanchard, one of the most creative, calculating and accomplished criminal masterminds in modern history,” Hulu writes.

The documentary will be directed by Landon Van Soest and is produced by A Submarine Deluxe Production in partnership with Transient Films. Rick Brookwell and Ben Schwartz are among the show’s executive producers. The producers include the Braun brothers, Josh, Ben, Dan, and Van Soest.

These documentary orders follow Hulu’s announcement of the “Child Star” documentary, which will include Demi Lovato in her first directing role and will focus on notable child performers.

Using interviews with some of the world’s most recognizable former child stars, the initiative “deconstructs the highs and lows of growing up in the spotlight through the lens of some of the world’s most famous former child stars.”

Hulu’s been focused on ramping up its dock space over the past year, debuting record-breaking titles including “Captive Audience,” “Victoria’s Secret: Angels and Demons,” “God Forbid: The S*x Scandal That Brought Down a Dynasty” last year, and “Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence” this February.

Belisa Balaban, the senior vice president of documentaries and unscripted shows, and Beth Osisek, the vice president of documentaries, oversee the doc sector at Hulu Originals.

Nothing further concerning the Freaknik documentary’s expected release has come to light. You may save Talkxbox.com and return to watch the next episode of this and other series whenever you like.
