Who is Hunter Biden’s Wife?
Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, married Melissa Cohen, a South African native. She also helps run Tribal Worlds, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that works to protect indigenous communities. Cohen earned an interior design degree from Greenside Design Center College of Design in South Africa when she was 21 years old.
Cohen claims that she was raised by a tribeswoman in South Africa. She claimed that Xhosa was her native tongue and that she didn’t start learning English until she was six. Cohen is an outspoken supporter of environmental causes and a former member of Greenpeace, an organization founded in the 1970s to raise awareness about and take action against threats to the environment.
A close acquaintance elaborated, “She loves animals and the wild and is fervently anti-poaching and lately she has become very vocal about antisemitism.” “She is probably the free-est spirit that I know and is deeply loved by all.”
At the age of 21, Cohen enrolled in a UCLA additional program in Horticulture, which brought her to Los Angeles, California, where she remained after graduating.
Soon after, she began dating local businessman Jason Landver, and the couple eventually tied the knot in Los Angeles the following year, in 2011. A friend of Landver’s said that the two just weren’t meant to be together forever, and that’s why they got a divorce in 2014.
Cohen then spent the next few years producing Tribal Lands, a documentary series about indigenous tribal groups and the challenges they’ve faced and overcome.
When Did Hunter Biden and Melissa Cohen Tie the Knot?
In 2019, Cohen was introduced to Hunter Biden via one of Cohen’s friends. The companion jotted down Cohen’s number and suggested that Biden give her a call. Almost immediately after meeting Cohen, he began spilling the beans about his life, including the de@ths of his mother, sister, and brother, his battle with addiction, and his previous marriage.

They tied the knot in a small ceremony in Los Angeles only six days after their first meeting. They had to invite Biden’s father to the wedding despite his not being able to attend because of scheduling conflicts.
