Baumgartner, 49, reportedly requested shared custody of their three children, Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12. On Tuesday(2 May 2023), Costner filed an answer to the petition, in which he similarly sought shared custody of the kids.
According to reports, Baumgartner and Costner first crossed paths on a golf course in the 1980s while Costner was doing on-location shooting for the 1996 film “Tin Cup.” The actor didn’t start dating Baumgartner until 1999, long after he had divorced his first wife.
They had a brief breakup in 2003 because Baumgartner wanted a family, and Costner wasn’t sure he was ready. Still, they reconciled, married in 2004 in Aspen, Colorado, and had three children over the next several years.
